Got a 78 gl1000 complete and groovy for 200$ with a non vetter fairing. Never seen one like this. Also has a chocolate brown honda seat(says honda on the back). Never seen a stock 78 in this color combo.

Have had a few early naked wings but all I have ever seen after market where the vetter fairing packages the dealwrs outfittwd them with .

That front fairing looks to be larger than a Windjammer but a different design.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !

Yeah definately not a windjammer. I have scrapped tons of those off Hondas over the years.

I might have to remove it to see if there are any logos etc inside.....  I find it very interesting to learn about the little niche after market oddball stuff.
Might end up passing this one along to finish up my 77 naked wing. Its super mint and sooooooo close.

Mystery solved: Tridair by Kimstock

Never heard of before but apparently they were the cadillac of fairings. Found a mfg. Plate and turned up the original sales brochure on a bmw site...bewilderingly in the ad it was photoed on a gl1000!

Alao solved the mystery of another fairinf I cut off an old 69 cb450 I had never encountered. 2 for 1.

I believe the trunk and saddle bags were standard Honda LTD accessories. The front fender is still a mystery however.

There saddle bags on a gl1000.

On the fairing advertisement you can see the gl1000 engine .

Heres one pictured on what looks to be a cb750F SS 76 model by looka of the spokes and collector 4-1(rear bike)
Apparently the " tri" windshield design moved with you as your bars hit them Im guessing?..? Weird design. When I was moving the bike around I noticed that...In the this brochure there is a litlle illustration of how the bars are suppose to hit the windshield.
