Thanks guys! PeWe you're correct. We had 70's all week, but it's coming to an end. Today will be 72 then she drops into the 40's & 50's. Still better than below freezing.

Hey Johnie. Both 70 toys look great! I've always liked Chevelle's and yours is very nice. I still haven't got use to you having only a few Honda's instead of having a garage full ;)

It is a matching numbers motor and tranny with build sheet. The Rochester carb was replaced by the PO who put on a new Edelbrock with electronic choke which made all the difference in the fine tuning. Plus he installed a new Edelbrock aluminum intake. I did points, condenser, cap, rotor and plugs so that I would have a benchmark on it. My 1970's dwell meter and timing light died on me. So it was time for a new meter and light and she is now fine tuned to perfection. She has factory AC which was converted from the R12 Freon to the R134a system. I replaced wheel bearings and the cooling system hoses / anti-freeze to have a benchmark on it. Besides the cruising my wife and I attended the shows that were not cancelled. It runs so nice and sounds so sweet. Thanks for asking...

All Right Johnie  8) Does the Edelbrock carb have a dissimilar carb butterfly plate like the QaudraJet ?
I had a 1967 Buick Gran Sport GS400 with the original Rochester QaudraJet and the Primary butterflies on the throttle plate were very small which allowed me to get fairly decent MPG,if I didn't 'kick it down' and open-up those huge Secondary butterflies.

Thank you. I was looking for a car "the more stock the better". Besides the matching numbers I wanted the stock rims, the 396 (didn't want the 454 since my HS days of dragging on the city streets are over), and wanted the TH400 automatic so my wife could drive it. Got lucky and found it 11 miles from my house in the garage of a friend who decided to it was time to sell. I didn't know he had the 70. It was too easy. I admit there was some luck in this as he was going to list it in spring. I looked at it in mid February and took delivery of it in May.
