Topic: CB500K2 Hydraulic clutch actuation

  I'm looking for "how to" info for installing hydraulic clutch actuation on my cb500k2. I've asked this question over on the regular bikes forum but the only answer I've gotten is a link to Godfrey's garage. I've e-mailed him for what info he can give me but I thought maybe someone on the high performance side may have what I'm looking for. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A hydraulic clutch offers a different feel, by my limited experience. It's a good way to overcome heavy springs I imagine.

I wonder if matching a master with the slave cylinder would be similar to front brakes? As in eliminating the "wooden feel" with too large a master?

brent, flavio did his homework on the sizes and go it sorted, i tried one of his installed system and felling at lever was "right", dont forget that hydraulic clutches are self adjusting, in the case your plates swell a bit, not a bad thing.

quite a few bikes out there form which you canibalize hydraulic systems too, ducatis and early GSXR come to mind, but flavio's systme is a really simple bolt on.

          Thank you very much for all your info. Flavio's work looks really first rate. I'm going to go with a KTM master and slave cylinder set that I found on E-bay. This should work well and keep me in my budget so I can remain married.

I think they use mineral oil, don't use tbd wrong stuff.,
