Source of parts?
« on: March 05, 2021, 10:30:07 AM »
I've been digging around on the internet, Webike lists some manufacturers names such as Performance Motorcycle Creative "PMC" (big Kawasaki parts source) M-Tech Chukyo and possibly M-Tech which is re-organized from Mugen which was founded by Mr. Honda's son.
I'm guessing PMC is at least partly the source of Yamiya's parts.
I'd like to follow our parts back a bit further.  Any other tips?

I ordered my exhaust and heat shields from webike. The exhaust was sold by PMC and the heat shields by m-tec chukyo.

I believe our exhausts were being made in Inodnesia, 30% of their manufacturing has closed and much of it isn't expected to re-open. This has been due to covid restrictions and related lack of raw materials. There was a volcano on Java that caused large evacuations. I didn't find more on the floods I previously heard mentioned.

Wow, If only I could read Japanese. That's an eye opener.

Those products for our bikes are really important.
A real pity if they stop produce all fantastic parts that rather recently have arrived on the market.

Sankei made the 77,78 exhaust and dohc exhaust.
Not sure who made 69 to 76 exhaust.
Company still exists - https://www.sankei-gk.co.jp/english/product/index.html
