1972 CB 750 chain guard
« on: May 17, 2021, 12:11:12 PM »
On the '72 750, was the chain guard a glossy finish like the frame or was it more satin like?I look at many photos and I see variation. What was the stock finish as to glossiness?

I thought the K2 750's had a steel chain guard.

Well mine has seen better days and done better things but I would say when it came out new it would have been quite shiny, like the fenders/mudguards.

My K2 original finish chain gaurd was the same black sheen as the frame is.
Resurrecting a Herman Munster CB750 from a few old baskets of K2 and K7 parts.

Well I am surprised by that.
Maybe the shiny steel ones were for Australian delivered bikes?. Pretty sure I have seen other K2's and even F2'S here with the raw steel type ones.
