Carburetor boots model (K7 engine + K2 carbs)
« on: February 27, 2022, 08:14:21 AM »
Hi,

I have a CB750 K7 1977 that I bought in boxes. Slowly assembling it back together. Some parts are missing, some are mixed up from different bikes.

At this moment I am rebuilding the carbs, which are not the standard, but an earlier model. I'm guessing K2 or maybe later.

There were no rubber boots (between head and carbs) included, so my question is which model of boots I need to go for.

As far as I've read on these forums I'm guessing I need the earlier boots that fits the carbs (because the head side is the same all years?)?
Not the later K7 boots?

I hope my assumption is correct as it also seems to be a lot easier to find and buy the older version of the boots.

Toby

Use the K1-K6 boots for those K2 carbs.

Stock Honda is better and will not crack that quick as the cheap aftermarket.

That's just what I want to hear, good news.

And yes, I plan to go stock.

Tack så mycket.
