M-unit install help (clutch switch)

Hey guys, Ive spent a few days installing an m-unit on my 77 cb550 SS and the last wires left are the clutch wires, The Classic Octane video on YouTube was super helpful, he didn't mention the clutch wires and I'm not sure what to do with it. (If anything) Help!

I'm using the revival wiring kit.

If you are referring to the Clutch safety switch, then you have 2 options: ignore it, or wire it in. The whole purpose is to prevent the bike from being started with the clutch engaged. Most people I know rely on the idiot light for NEU, or pull the clutch by habit.

Now that you understand it’s purpose, what’s your preference?

After reading the wiring diagram last night, I realized it doesn't do much, I'll prob not wire it in and leave it disconnected for now. Thanks for the info.

Hey maybe you can help...
I got some major progress today on the wiring, the bike turns over and it's looking good. But I can't get the neutral light on the indicator to turn off.
I ran the power to neuter/ oil indicator light from Aux 1, and the green/blue from the engine to common ground.

I had a hard time figuring out how to wire it, maybe you can shed some light.

If you are referring to the Clutch safety switch, then you have 2 options: ignore it, or wire it in. The whole purpose is to prevent the bike from being started with the clutch engaged. Most people I know rely on the idiot light for NEU, or pull the clutch by habit.

Test the switch by separating the GRN/RED to a new, solo ground. Not sure what a Grn/Blu wire would be?

Test the switch by separating the GRN/RED to a new, solo ground. Not sure what a Grn/Blu wire would be?

I meant the blue/red, green/red wires

Make sure the wires from each switch (oil pressure BLU/RED and NEU GRN/RED) are wired directly to their respective bulb. This means both the power feed and the grounds. You might be getting some crossover from the other that is preventing the indicator light from functioning correctly and independently.

Just wired them directly, no change, neutral light stays on, even once in gear.

Output-- Aux 1- Neutral bulb
Gen/red- common ground

Make sure the wires from each switch (oil pressure BLU/RED and NEU GRN/RED) are wired directly to their respective bulb. This means both the power feed and the grounds. You might be getting some crossover from the other that is preventing the indicator light from functioning correctly and independently.
