Hello, Tim newbie here
« on: June 05, 2022, 08:17:16 PM »
Hey I’m Tim, I’ve got a 1971 CB750, a 2002 ZRX1200R (I gotta be honest, this is my all time fave cycle) and a 2018 Road King.  I still lol every ride the CB, I love the bike and with a little help from my friends, it runs like a top.  About to start a resto mod on another 750 - I’ll confess a professional is going to do the work, I’m just not that great at it.  Though I’ve been on Hondas since I was a kid riding with my dad in the late 60’s and 70’s (he would probably be arrested today for child endangerment), I’m new to owning a vintage bike, so will be asking a lot of dumb questions - thanks for your patience and advice.  Tim
PS - will post my bike pics this week

Welcome aboard Tim! Where ya from? You put your location as United States. Mighty big area....... narrow it down and someone on here local can help you out too.

Start a project thread(in the project shop)to document what you are doing(having done by the professional.....) to the bike as you go along on it. And yes pictures are always welcome and desired.

Hey Stu - I didn’t put US, it filled it in and I left it, not knowing any better.  I can’t see a way to upload bike pics any more, if you have any ideas; it’s not available in the ‘modify profile’ link.  Thanks and have a great day.  Tim

You'll need to post 4-5 posts (I think I remember reading there is a minimum posts to be able to post pictures????

Hey thanks MD, I just rode through the eastern edge of your state last week, but was mostly zigzagging up down and across Wisconsin.  Beautiful country up there, I guess not so welcoming in Jan/Feb...tks

Welcome, Rtim!
:)
Keep posting and pretty soon it will let you post pix, too.
A 71 K1! That was my first 750.

First rule here: there aren't any dumb questions, just questions about these bikes about things that are hidden in the misty times of the past, when men were men, bikes were bikes, and the toolkits under the seat actually got used.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

The demons are repulsed when a man does good. Use that.
Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.
