Topic: Are the cylinders and head painted from the factory?

Cleaning up my motor and getting the previous owner's paint off the cylinders.

Does the head and cylinders come painted from the factory?

I was going to paint mine, I think.  Definitely will paint the cases.

Yes, head and cylinders as well as the case was painted.  [VHT "Aluminum" is what I use].
The head cover was not painted, a nicely polished one looks great on a fresh rebuild.

Yes, plan is to polish all covers.

I already have 2 cans of Duplicolor DE1615 for the cases, so could use that for the cylinder/head.

If that is the Aluminum Engine Enamel color than yes. Just used it on my CBX cases etc. Great product.

Here's the Duplicolor Aluminum engine paint 4 years later. Still looks great.
