I like this T500...looks pretty clean

https://www.proxibid.com/1972-Suzuki-T500/lotInformation/73430667

I often wonder how does japanese  stroke feel.  Jawa and CZ in my days were old concept and not much of a bike.

Japanese 2 stroke bikes in the 70's were very reliable and [still] so much fun to ride.  The Kawasakis were the fastest bikes on the road back then and once above 4000 rpm, they just scream - what a feeling!
C'mon over, I'll let you take one for a spin...

Ok - I put my cool book keeper visor on this morning and the final results are in. The auction grossed for the Claw $184,925.00.  Somewhat more then some of his other auctions I have totaled out. Still some interest out there. Check out the list and see what your favorite sold for or get an idea as to the Mid-West market.

The T500 bike I liked sold for $1200, a very fair deal.

No title kind of rough looking gold H2 750 for 11k. Over my budget. Think its too late for me to ever own one unless I get lucky and stumble on one hidden away from a non interested motivated seller. https://www.proxibid.com/1973-Kawasaki-H2-Triple/lotInformation/73487671&scrollLocationOnCatalog=1122

I never did the math, but there sure is a high percent of them with no title? Geez, don't people keep titles anymore or are a lot of these old barn finds and stolen?

That price does seem high, Eric. But good luck trying to find one for less. Maybe from a widow who dont know the value...

I need to go on one of those older folk dating sites Steve. Start my listing by saying " Looking for older attractive widow with old motorcycles in the barn. Like walks on the beach, prunes and shuffleboard" !!

I never did the math, but there sure is a high percent of them with no title? Geez, don't people keep titles anymore or are a lot of these old barn finds and stolen?

People stick the titles in a shoe box then stick it an attic or basement, park the bike in a shed or garage for a couple decades and then can't find the box. Or the owner passes away and the family doesn't know where it went.

When we bought my CB175 years ago it had never been titled. The family that owned it just rode it around their own property and never bothered to get it licensed. Back then (very early 1980's) dad got a registration from (I think) Alabama or Mississippi, similar to what people do now with Vermont.

FYI - copied from another website....

"I keep falling for the same thing, need to learn 🙂 Bought another triple from Mach IV Motors, looked ok on pictures, description said engine turns, won't take too much to get it back on the road. Yeah right! Another case where they hang things on the bike to make it look like you're getting a complete bike. Chambers wobbling around because they just hand fitted them, plugs a couple turns in, engine turns when you hit it with a sledgehammer... Void under the seat. Anyway, just venting a bit, all is good 🙂 I should have known better. The most funny thing they did to me was an H1 i bought that kinda looked like this but the engine had no innards haha, no crank, no pistons."

Another reason to try and buy bikes in person and not from a picture. If that one turns hard at least the engine may still have some guts in it.  ;D

Yeah, but cant always do that ya know? The Kaw Triples are getting so hard to find that guys will buy 'em up in any condition and what seems like, any price.  Better than money in the bank for me...
