I just got done reading all two posts that reference the HM405 pipes, and much to my chagrine I must say. What I have found out is that they are #1.) rare as all hell, #2.) expensive as all get out, and #3.) not as good as the HM341's. I need a #1 pipe for a 78 K8, and I can't find any anywhere! So much for my luck!

A few years ago, I checked and honda still had the pipes.....at $800 for the set! :o  Well I clearly was not going to be able to afford them so I patched what I had. Then whacked off the bad mufflers and put on some slip ons.  Unless you want to spend a crap load, you either get slip ons or a new aftemarket system. You can get Mac drags and you can also find 4-2 sets from jardine, or used to anyways.

While it does not help now, more and mopre stores are carrying the K7/8 parts than just a couple years ago.

That's about the going rate for HM300s and 341s, so that's not too crazy.
