My insurances for  vintage vehicles.
$60 US/year.
Value $15K US

I can ride as much I want. Full insurance.

I do not need to visit vehicle inspections either. Done both my riding bikes.

The CB750 project I have in parts, need an inspection, its first since the 90's, last forever unless the rulers change their minds about working vehicles.

Liability settlements and insurance premiums are out of control in Canada. The only way to reduce insurance premiums here is to omit collision and even then they are ridiculous.

The gentleman that bought this cb750K6 needed an appraisal for his insurance company. Their local guy valued it at $14,500 (Canadian)! I should have asked for more….

Thinking about this. What a scam? My poor friend will now get a premium based on this high number set by the appraiser? An appraisal he also had to pay for. In any other business this would be called collusion and price fixing…..

Hey John...a good friend ran into this a few years back with a classic car that he purchased.  He just wanted to add it to his current policy but they insisted for him get an appraisal.  After a bit of research he ended up using a different company [Hagerty], the policy is set up as "agreed value". He set the value, no appraisal needed, so if the car gets stolen or totaled, that is the amount he receives [minus deductible].
This is in Texas, but might be worth your buddy in Canada checking it out.

Oddly, Hagerty insures cars in Canada, but not motorcycles……

The old toyota got us home, terrible terrible rain in Quebec, bike got washed a couple times, amazing how many people approach you when you have a bike like this, hardly get any on approaching me on my 50 year old Harley LOL...will post some more pictures. Thx John

Thank you for the welcome, hoping I can learn lots about these glorious old Honda's , there seems to be a wealth of knowledge here.
John put together a wonderful working bike, very happy, getting ready to do first oil at 500 miles.
I have been a little new you might say to learning how to navigate here in this site, I'm hoping this reply makes it to the readers.

I am in Shediac NB, likely 1.5 hours or so to Maine. We are sitting on the Atlantic.

I use Hagerty for my Acty. So far it's been easy, yes, agreed on value.

Just looking at a couple of the comments on Insuring bike,,
I had an appraisal done on the Honda 1976, which was $200, this appraisal is good for as long as i Have insured.
I have full coverage and can ride as normal. I believe my monthly on the Honda is approximately $35.00/mo.
In addition I have a vintage Harley which is also appraised and insured with the same company.
The total for both bikes is $63.30 per month. In Canada that is pretty darn good.
A later model Harley I had sometime ago was around $1500/mo......
It also may help that I have a few years riding experience, lets just say a few decades, LOL...
If any one in Canada is looking for vintage motorcycle insurance it is out there, of course you will need to do an appraisal.
Since Im new out here I do not know if it is appropriate to mention the company name? If Ok I can follow up with name.
