Thanks.  No long term plans have been decided yet.  I need to schedule an appointment with DMV to get it inspected before they will register it and give me a tag.  I hope to do that in about 2 weeks.  Everything is pretty much ready, still working on cleaning inside of tank, got it soaking with Evaporust now.  Inside of tank is not to bad, so that won't take but a few days.

Last couple of days I've been thinking about painting the 750 since this one turned out well.  I may do that next fall.

Very very nice work denward...gonna be gorgeous all assembled, let it cure and garden a bit, don't want to rush it at this point. You do know about the fuller neck needed a epoxy sealing edge to keep the fuel from working under the pain job and wrecking it don't you?

The neck needs a band unpainted and then sealed with an epoxy that is fuel proof like JB Weld to prevent fuel vapor and condensate from wicking it's way under the paint at the neck and ruining your paint job.

I have read about that and did leave about 1/4" or so of the top of the neck unpainted.

Hmmm, might be a good idea to add that now.

Assume I just put the epoxy on top of the paint line and not on the gasket surface of the neck?

Just leave the top of the neck unpainted to the bottom of the rolled edge. Epoxy is unnecessary as they were NEVER epoxied from the factory and fuel vapors escape through the cap vent anyway.

Not painting to the top is because there is no practical way to finish the paint line inside the filler neck and fuel vapors will effect that paint line.

All dressed up and no where to go.......

I do have a DMV inspection agent coming tomorrow to perform the inspection, so hopefully within a few days I can get it registered and get a tag.

Thanks Guys, that means a lot.

The bike does have a few warts here and there, but should make a good rider.

DMV inspection passed, got tags and went for a bout a 10 mile shake down ride.

Got some tuning issues, seems like a little rich on the low end.

Will research and tinker, it did ride good, different feel from the 750.

They run better in the higher rpms apposed to idling in city traffic.

Both hot and cold were pretty good, when it got up to temp I had to turn down the idle a little bit.  I did notice coming into the neighborhood in 2nd gear doing about 25 mph, it started burbling a little.  I reached down and pulled up the choke and it almost died.

If buy burbling, do you mean it stumbles, off idle or when transistioning from on to off throttle?

I could tell it was rich, kind of like a stumble when trying to go on throttle just a little bit, just to hold even speed.

I going to try a 1/8 turn in on the idle mixture screws before I go back out with it.

Well, I'm not familiar with the delkevic pipe, so I can't speak to how it may be affecting your situation. But, the idle mixture screws don't have that much of and impact on a condition like your experiencing, they might help point you in the appropriate direction. If it gets worse after it's good and warm (hot), it's a smidge on the rich side. First thing I always check is floatbowl level, a slightly high level can cause a hot rich condition. Your running 38 pilots? Pull a plug if its rich at idle it'll show.
