When you say "Keihin sold.." are you saying that Keihin is no longer made in Japan ?
Does Sudco only have Mikuni now ?

I believe Hitachi bought them. Sudco is closing the doors, so everything must go, I'd guess, Mikuni stuff also....

Oh no!
That is a real shame.
About 5 years ago, they were looking at relocating the business out of CA as the property taxes were devastating.

When I started my online parts business back in 2000, it was Eric who gave me a chance. He sent a lot of business my way and helped the business grow.
In 2012,  I closed the business but we stayed in contact on a regular basis, but through the years, conversations became spread further and further apart.
It's been a few years since we spoke last. I'll have to give him a call and wish him luck on his next endeavor.

Thanks for the heads up!

Sudco, last place that offered VM29 carb boots for CB750.

"parts no longer available" seems to be the case with not that old Mikuni TMR carbs needles.

It took time to find needles to my Mikuni TMR32.
Webike had needles to order but refunded after 2-3 weeks.

Found the last 4 of needed taper in UK.  9D3-52

They have Keihin stuff too

Needles to much older VM29 seems to be found "everywhere".

Time to hoard vital parts.

Only vintage bikes from last millenium that use carbs, right?

I might have purchased the last set of 29 smoothbore carb boots. I've been watching for another set since then and have not found them. I think 2-3 boots backwards on the 1-4 carbs can work but I didn't find a swap for the center two.
 Andrews motorsports had my set.

My set of 29 mikuni Sudco carb "rubbers" are made from urethane and seem to be holding up well. I wonder what it would take to get UPP to make another small run of them?

Better start using non-ethanol fuel in your carbureted bikes.

I saw a test where a guy went and bought "non ethyl" and then tested what the pump gave him. Many times there was still some ethyl. probably from whatever was in the hose from the last customer using a pump that has several choices of fuel. Not sure how much the hose holds but I am often only buying 2-3 gallons when I fill up.

All the Casey’s have dedicated 91octane real gasoline around here. Eliminates dilution with ethanol fuels..

Our only VP station has  from 95-118octane at the same pump with only one hose. The storage tanks are at least 200 feet away..makes you wonder where the product and isolation valves are..I only purchase the 100 octane for our Honda CR 2strokes.. I’ve never asked the owner about it. He sells barrels and 5’s too..Twice the price as bulk..😡 but when the pump is out of order (only once) its your only other choice when you’re on the detonation edge..

There is some stuff called "REC90" avail at some places here. I used it when preparing the bike to sit during the winter but be ridded some anyway, I just refilled with a non ethyl when I did ride the bike on nicer days. They never gave me any flak for filling the bike at that pump.

I have never worried a lot about ethyl really. had a set of 4 into one intake isolators turn into 4 into 5 without even making it a year though. Replaced them with genuine NOS Honda parts.
