Thinking of painting my bike...
« on: March 29, 2007, 07:18:35 PM »
I am trying to find a good paint scheme for my 81 cb650  Custom.  I took one of the pictures from the gallery and photoshoped a new paint scheme on it to try it out.  I really like the red and white but just wanted to see what others thought.  Also what is the name of that 2 part spray paint?

You have that side shot in higher resolution that isn't tweaked already?

I tried to come up with a nice looking mockup, but this is the best I could do..  :)

Still, I like solid colors- this one is almost a solid red color camo?

I also like the look of a solid color but also want to keep the badges.  So maybe something like this?

The darker red looks really nice! I like the look of the lower bars, too!!

Granted, I also like the original color, too.

I wonder what it would look like with an alternating red/white custom seat and spoke rims.  I always wanted to slap on a pair of spoke rims but can never seem to find any in decent shape on ebay.

Personally, I hate doing anything with wires in photoshop.  That being said, the backgrounds don't line up or anything and I smudge drew the rear drum, but it gets the idea across.

Cosmo thanks a lot for working on those spokes.  I owe you one.  I think that is exactly how i would like my bike to end up.

Paint is finally done.  I posted the original concept photoshop image that Cosmo made and the finished product below it. Still working on the seat/spokes but it's getting there. Went for a ride this morning and certainly got a few more looks than normal.
