I'll try an M15 tap next time as recommended.

In the worst case, the rubber will be hard and may just break off when you start removing it. Then the M15 tap thing might work (still looking for one of those locally), or else I use some jeweler's screwdrivers, like a tiny chisel, and nick & bend over an edge of the metal rim of the seal when the rubber is gone. Then I nab that edge with some small needlenosed pliers and bend it up and out.
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

I think I ordered a tap from Amazon, also grabbed the reamer needed to rework the drain back hole in my OEM CB750K2 pump there too. Have not gotten around to dropping the pan again to do that stuff. Pulled pan off this summer hoping to change the drain back stopper with the pump on the bike and found the piston was stuck open and the bore and piston are no longer a slip fit. Subbed in an Ebay pump with new stopper that is meh. Still drains back some and is weird pressure wise when firing up meaning the center seal is probably not good.
