I’m slowly collecting parts to put together my 1969 Kawasaki Mach III 500. I recently paid over $1000 for a rear fender, but couldn’t find the correct tail light. This stuff is rare. I did see one nice one for around the same money as the fender, but I have to curtail my spending temporarily as I’m up for over $6K for new fences.

Anyhoo Spotty and I drove 120 miles to a place who’s name I’ve already forgotten to a tiny motorcycle only swap meet. As it turned out, it was a great trip, Spotty found me an ultra rare K1 specific supplement for a K0 workshop manual, then a guy selling NOS and lightly used genuine Kawasaki parts (2 new footpeg rubbers in the OEM bag for $2, as an example) so I bought a few things from him, some bike magazines for cheap etc. But what really made my day was finding a “near new” 1969 Kawasaki Mach III rear tail light assembly for $200. (AUD, about $120 USD)

When I got home I looked at EBay to check the progress of some parts from the US that I’m waiting for) and then did a search and found a NOS OEM tail light lens for my Mach III for $75 so bought that too. I’m slowly running out of excuses to not finally assemble the little Mach III, it’ll be a fun little bike. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Cool pic Alan.
Thanks for the fix Kevin, it turned itself back on its side when I posted it.
I ran across this one of me recovering a Pacific Coast our friend Larry had purchased and the shipper only got halfway to him (Denver to Pennsylvania) when he realized he had a flawed business plan. No one answered the door but they had left the back garage door open, so we just took it. I couldn't figure out how to safely tie it down so I just rode it home.

Don, Larry/MoMo certainly chose a colorful PC800 !
The only one's I've seen are a pearlescent/white color.
How did the bike get shipped the rest of the way to PA. ?

Larry found a reputable shipper who picked it up at my house. I got caught polishing the tupperware when my pics looked better than Larry's pics. I felt bad about how it looked and mixed some polishing compound with carnuba wax.

Then I realised that I have the top and bottom triple clamps but no adjustment nuts, steering damper assembly etc, so jumped back on Ebay USA and found a complete assembly just taken off a ‘69 Mach III and bought them too. Almost time for assembly…. ;D

It’ll be as stock as I can make it Bill, with probably only an aftermarket wiring harness as I don’t have one and don’t want to buy a crusty old one with missing connections etc. it’s been professionally painted the original white with blue stripes etc, but it’s a bit flaky underneath the tank so I might need to seal it in case there’s some pinholes or a crack or something. Hopefully it’ll be running by Christmas. ;D

I was scrolling through Facebook and the people you might know scroll included our old buddy Larry "MoMo"!
I sent a message and asked him if he ever lost a Honda PC in Youngstown Il. L0L!
He replied yes and you found it! He's riding a 2008 Moto Guzzi 750 Breva these days.
I just messaged that I kinda forgot about the time, hope I didn't wake him up in PA!

I did wake him up, I guess his phone notified him of a FB post. I apologized, he had a pic of him and two motorcycles on his Facebook, apparently on a ride. It actually looks like Pennsylvania just by the buildings. He's wanting a Ducati 750 or something like that. I cut it short since it's an hour later there.

that stuff is why i gave up drinking vodka, you might not end up in hospital that night but you will end up there eventually as a direct consequence, most of my major injuries have had at least some correlation to vodka, and i hate hospital food

Perhaps Spotty, but after 4 days of not so much as a glass of water, this was like heaven!

An occasional visitor came by, previously he had mentioned seeing a Panther in the seat of his truck and had some bad medical issues. Now he has stopped drinking, began working with a dietician and gotten off of most of his meds. Anyway, his son is here for a visit, and they were trying to get his CM400 honda gong, the chinese coil wasn't working so I gave him a goldwing coil to try.
Yesterday they both rode in on their bikes, The Honda which is now running and his sons gorgeous black and gray Harley, we had a nice visit. For a long time I was even confused about how I knew him, it seems I knew his Dad and my wife helped him and his wife buy a house.
I was tickled to help him get the bike going and see him riding alongside his son. The kid seems like a genuine nice person and has some mechanical talent. Most of all, they were excited to see some 750's and have a 77 750K that they want to get running.

I went to a motorcycle meet in Tooradin (Victoria, Australia) today on my Ducati Monster 750. It was nice and warm, and I was wearing my CIMAA 20th anniversary T-shirt. A smart-ass asked "Is that your motorcycle?". I responded "No, it belongs to the club vice-president, Ian Barnes, but I do have a 3 1/2 Sport", to which he said "A Morini?" and I said "Yes". Another guy chimed in and said "I've seen your bike parked near the Post Office in Warragul!". It's nice when a turd is made to look stupid...

Today I heard the song woolly bully, it has a line, let's not be L7 come and learn to dance. I never knew what it was or meant even though I grew up when it was popular and new.
Apparently, I was L7 because it means to be a square and I didn't know that until I was today years old. (Nearly 73) Does it mean that I am no longer L7?
I'll take it as a small win.
