How much of the head-pipes from the headers are left? I made this one using parts cut from an aftermarket Kawasaki 550 header, along the larger tubing recycled from a White Bros XR 500 exhaust. Once you merge each pair of head-pipes together, it gets easier with only one pipe on each side. You can buy mandrel bent u-bends and cut and fit sections together to the shape you want. I suggest buying more than you think you need. ;)

theres just a small pile of bits left plus the "4 into 1" that was welded together ( without a jig ) which without major surgery will never fit onto the head. the plan was to have the header from cylinder 4 go straight across the front of the other 3 cylinders and have a stub join into it and then it would turn round the cylinders at the left end and head back to a muffler at the rear of the bike.
could be a plan for the future but for the moment it's a delkevic set of headers with an angled joiner pipe into a supertrapp muffler to lift it as high as i can

in the last week i've seriously cleaned the motor and frame, stripped all the paint off the frame and welded up some un-needed holes on the frame and etch primed them both

found the swingarm last night so that got stripped ready for etch priming tonight

done the first coats of satin black on the motor, Terry said it looked like an F2 motor now which i thought was a bit unkind, its already got a few complexes happening due to its K7 identity

first coat of red on the frame tonight and probably clean and polish the forks enough to get a decent coat of paint on them over the weekend

i would put pics up but i can't post from my phone which is where all my photos are, i'm using the work computer to do this
i blame Terry
