How do I adjust the choke here?  I do not have a handlebar control for it.

What do you mean by "adjust" ?
To synchronize the choke flap openings between each carb so that each carb gets an equal amount of "choking", the carbs need to be removed and the flaps adjusted by the screws / locknuts.
If you mean, how do you put the choke on, simply lift up the leaver in the picture to start the bike and push it back down once the engine begins to warm up.

Yes, what do you mean?
The choke is that lever marked "choke". Up is fully closed, down is no choke, in between is partial choke. These carbs do not have the throttle cam to add throttle with the choke so you have to work the throttle to keep the engine running at first
The lever directly works the carb it's on, there are adjustable linkages between the throats to synchronize the plate movements. I try to have them all flat to the airflow at full off, whatever closed angle they end up at is OK they don't all have to completely close but I don't want any restriction at full open.

The big question is WHAT MODEL BIKE, 77 550 does not narrow it down enough
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

This is the choke lever. There is no handlebar control.
Consult the owners manual for use.

Looks perfect. But can't see any of the plates. If you had the bodies off, the linkages have to be correct. If you haven't disassembled them most likely all is well.
