oil filter thread

just out of interest heres a pair of filters I have on hand,Ive never used a ryco one on the honda but are a big aussie brand here, use em all the time on cars,I thought Ide take a closer look at them, the ryco has more pleats, but the internal slots look more restrictive and there also seems to be a wide seam join with no slots in it,the MIW ones Ive used before, dont see how its multi stage?has less pleats but I think a better internal free flowing steel centre compared to the ryco?the ryco might filter better but hamper flow?itll need a proper set up pressure flow test to find out,I tried blocking one end and blowing through them both couldnt tell any difference.

Might be the pic but they look different sizes.

As you should be changing it every 1500 miles is it going to make a difference, I know Honda say 3,000 but i have never believed in putting clean oil, change at 1500, through a used filter

If engine has an oil pressure gauge, a difference might be seen depending on the oil filter.

Imagine the size of the paper media, stretched out on a flat surface. They are so large that I suspect the flow rate would be virtually identical?
