This is a forum with decorum:-)), better than most, let's calm down a bit and get back to our bikes, which is why most of us are here.

Delta, we get it. You hate America and anything American. Just because your country is the size of a postage stamp and nothing is far away doesn't mean we should limit our lives by living them to your standards. I live 6 miles from town and driving is part of life. I use my obnoxious big truck all the time to haul materials for projects ect.. I have a smaller truck for most other things. We even have a hybrid that gets over 50mpg for my wife's 80 mile daily commute.
You need to stop tearing down other people's lives because they don't align with your vision of how things should be.

I hate blinker alarms and reversing beepers, but not as much as I hate powered windows - they don't even make any sense for any safety reasons (aside from operating passengers windows while driving - not something I need to do!)

I never agree with Delta but the US have made some horrible engines, not least Ford that cant keep spark plugs in them!

Those 3 valve Ford motors suck. Don't even get me started on the heater core and valve on my MGB GT. Replacing the heater core is a nightmare. I had to make a new valve from a ball valve. 8)
