Don't need to break the chain.
Just get it off the sprocket. Wheel comes out.
No.

Yup. Move wheel forward and pull chain off the outside. Pull axle bolt out and off the wheel should come.

thanks much, I will try it when I get home

when replacing a tube do you need to replace the "rim cover" (rubber that covers the nipples to protect the tube) or is it just preformed as needed, the local shop has the tubes in stock but only has 17" an 19" nipple covers he said the 17 can be stretched or the 19 could be cut to fit, i'd lean toward stretching myself

any thoughts?

You only need to replace the rim tape if the old one is past it's best, if it still looks in good shape keep it

To remove rear wheel pull the front sprocket to loosen chain and then remove chain from rear sprocket to let wheel slip out easily (after unbolting everything else). When putting wheel back on just reverse procedure and slide wheel in, put chain over rear sprocket, push wheel as far forward as it will go and put chain on front sprocket and mount front sprocket. Easy!

Good luck,
Andy

As CrisP said, only replace the rim strip if the rubber is getting bad. Otherwise there is no need to worry about it.

Good inner tubes are still inexpensive. Treat the bike to a 'name' brand like a Michelin....

You can re-use the rim strip rubber if it still feels like rubber.  But, do look underneath it for rust on the rim.  I had one go down and the rust has built a spire that grew through the rim strip and the tube.  I cleaned off the rust, painted with real zinc chromate and it's be fine ever since done, 10 years ago.

Cheap...Hmm....I usually get concerned when i hear people use the word "cheap" when it pertains to tires, tubes and break parts...but that may be irrational...

You could get rid of the tube all together and fill your tire with sand...it would never go flat

I sure understand the "pucker power " of getting a blowout at speed..its happened to me 2 times and will definatly ruin a good pair of fruit of the looms. As for the rim n tube  I wire brush and paint mine, along with a strip of duct tape under the spoke rubber. Buy a quality name brand tube...the cheap ones may hold up fine, but do you want to experement to save $5.00?

i got it off the bike easier than i thought i could, but getting the tire half off of the rim took about an hour, a lot of yelling, a near sprained finger and 2 prybars, but i got it in there and blew it back up good as new, also added air to the front as i noticed it only had 28psi instead of the 40psi the tire says it needs

thanks all for the help

now help me with the "air fuel mixture thread problem"

how about those Chinese tires?? After the news, I would think twice about using them on two wheels.

Word to the wise.  The PSI rating printed on the tire is the max load rating tire pressure.  Not the expected running pressure.  Were I you, I'd back the pressure down between 30 and 35, watch the tire wear and adjust accordingly.

The 750F owners manual says that with the bike at full capacity; 32 PSI front and 40 PSI rear.

Vehicle capacity load limit is 360 Lbs.
