You tried jumping it, or starting it with a fresh battery, and it just clicks? Starter relay is bad, or your starter motor itself (most likely the relay). A way to verify this would be to push-start the bike. Put it in first and hold the clutch in while pushing it up the street. Dump the clutch with the ignition on and if it starts, or tries to, everything else is working OK.

I live up in Simi and if you like I could take a look at it but not for a couple of weeks.

ya i usually do push start it once im out and have jumped started it. and of course when its still hot it jumps real easy, but a couple weeks ago i was sitting at a red light, and the whole bike jus shut down completely and i had no electricity through the whole bike, no lights at all and it wouldnt push start, i had to have a buddy meet me at a nearby gas station and jump start it. these kinda things become very frustrating hah. so im not sure, when will you be available?

You really need to make sure the battery isn't bad, and if it is, put a good one in it.  The sohc4's won't kick or push-start without a good charge in the battery.  The fact that you can jump-start it off a good battery tells me that's your problem.
