i actually just made a little bracket that i screwed the light into then i bolted it down to the rear shock bolts. preet simple.the lights are from dennis kirk.

Yeah, I have something very similar for my blinkers. I just removed the rear splash guard and I am trying to find a way to clean up the lights and license plate without damaging the stock seat.

I'm late to the party, but I just sh#tcanned the K2 head on my '78, and replaced it with a a K head.

Problem solved. with proper care you can still get 60k+ miles off a K2 valvetrain. even saw one over 100k.

The problems alway lie with the infamous PO.

oh yeah i never thought about the water :o. well i wasted the money a while ago i went with the wrap for now cuz me header had a big ding on 2 of the pipes and the chrome was pretty bad. maybe some 1 has a nice setup on here they could sell me..?. but yeah thanks for the 2 cents its much appreciated. ;D

Don't worry about it mate, your bike looks really nice, just keep an eye out for a nicer pipe, you'll find one! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

This is what I did to my F taillights, I use my front turnsignals as my headlight bolts.

G'Day Mike, I saw you'd replied and I was expecting a scolding for hanging shiite on the F/F1's, ha ha! No, I reckon I covered your generous cooperation (and that of several other members here) with my post in the "A-hole PO's" thread.

The (beautiful) head that you built for me appears to be completely unscathed Mike, it's back in it's plastic bag until the engine comes out again this spring so I can install the Wiseco 836cc kit I've bought for the K1. I don't have time to go much further with the endurance racer project for awhile, so I'll put that engine back in my K1, or maybe my F2, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D
What's a PO? I did a search, honest.

I like the CR's. I'm a little over carbed on my stock engine, I need to go down a jet size. I did the Kerker, Dyna 2000, and the Cr's at the same time. It's a differant bike now. I don't want to run it to hard till we figure out what kind of life the engines had. The bike was rough when I bought it. I plan to take the motor out this winter and have it rebuilt.
This was what it looked like in all it's leaky assed glory. The picture is flattering, it was nasty.

What main Jet/needle position are you using mate? I'm using new 29mm CR's (thanks to Mike -the magician- Rieck) on my stock, but freshly rebuilt K1 engine, with K&N pods, Dyna S ignition and Dyna 3 Ohm coils and a tuned length 4 into 2 race pipe, but on the factory settings, they seem very lean? Here's some pics. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Sorry, I don't have that info right now. I'm not the Tuner, I'm the remover, cleaner, orderer, and most importantly, the pay for er. I'll have more info later this week, it's going back to the shop. Right now I've got black smoke, and sooty plugs. If I crack the throttle it bogs.
