Not to sound paranoid, but what's ths chance of S & S knowing about this forum?  Not that there's anything here that damages your case-just the opposite.  But wouldn't just chap their cheeks if they were reading?

Well, as far as I know, David's biggest use of a pc is to play Solitare! :D Now, Jan is a different story, she seems to know her way around a pc somewhat. Don't know if they'd ever even realize we (SOHC4) exist. I'd like to chap MORE than their cheeks! >:(

Well, Pulled into the Wal Mart parking lot, to pick up a few things for us and also for my Dad and my wife calls to tell me to call the nursing home because my Dad's blood sugar dropped below 30 and they might be making another run to the hospital. :(  I called and found out that they were giving him some stuff that is the same as liquid sugar in hopes of getting it back up. He was having complications from it as well. :( I had to stop by the house to take one of the young men, we work with, out and go to the nursing home. I found that the solution that they injected in him, was starting to work. and then they gave him a Strawberry shake (a small one). then they gave him supper and he ate ALL of it, That was so great! It has been awhile since he's eaten so well, except the "Grand Slam" at Denney's. ;) He enjoys going there and getting that particular meal. Sure like him eating well. After some discussion and thought with the nurse at the nursing home, they are going to try taking him off of the Diabetic meds because, he was larger when he was put on them and he has lost quite a bit if weight. I could well be that the meds are not needed at this point. They will check his blood sugar before and after each meal to see how it's going and proceed as needed. They are going to try to tailer his meals around what he likes and will include a shake (he likes Vanilla, Chocolate  and Strawberry). Sure hope this works for him. ;)

You are right Paul, I don't have much time for anything, with the goings on. My time was pretty scarce BEFORE this and now it has been pretty hectic alright. I'm just trying to work things out the best I can. It helps that he is up here now, but I've still got things that I need to go to my Dad's place and check and to do. And they aren't going to make it any easier either.

Paul, I will tell him what you said (I have been telling him what you and others have said all along and he (AND I ) are very appreciative also. The Hugs will be given and thank you for that. ;)

G`day bill
All this altzheimers talk with the diabetes added, i reckon you really nees to get a top level test done, diabetics have the same symptoms when things start going bad for them sugar wise, memory loss and confusion, disorientation and total fade out are known......
Could your dad have been diagnosed with altzheimers when he has type 2 (i think) diabetes?
Stay strong mate, you`ve been down a long road and the end is near.
Cheers

We're looking to get him "Reevaluated" for the Alzheimer's thing. There are several of the conditions that he has (or has had) that could give the same basic symptoms. All I can say about that (So Called) Doctor that diagnosed him with Alzheimer's, better hang onto his rearend, cause if there's a way we can (at least) discredit him and Dad wants to, it'll be done!  BTW, Skank called the Nursing Home last night and said she had some papers that told about his cancer. First I've heard about that. Not sure how she found out where he was, but I can promise you one thing, She (they) better stay away from him cause, if they don't, I'll probably get into trouble from kicking their Butts!

On the good side, we (my Daughter Karla, Joey that we work with and I went to see my Dad this afternoon and he was sitting in a wheelchair watching TV and is looking really good. 8) You could tell that he is really feeling better and I didn't tell him that she called there last night. I didn't want to worry him about that. He needs to concentrate on getting better. I DID remind him about not signing anything and, before I could finish, he said, "Not Unless It Is With You!"  ;)  I just can't tell you how much it does my Heart Good To see those smiles and him being more relaxed and getting kinda fiesty. "That's My Dad" ;)

They are really persistent lil rodents aren't they? I suspect the cancer thing is like the bs about the Alzheimer's. Almost as if they keep making up what he has just to try to gain some sort of foothold...Yes it would be a good idea to get him checked out to make sure but i suspect if it was there im sure either symptoms or some sort of sign of it being there would have showed up by now.

Give'm hell Billy and get r done!

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Yeah, we figure that they are trying to regain what thy once had and it's all been done by deception, not Real concern for my Dad's welfare. Did I mention that , after going through some more of his statements and such, I came across yet another indication of a credit card (that's 3 now and should be all)? I've already contacted them and sent them my POA by fax, yesterday. Called our lawyer Tues (several times) to let him know that I'd been served (didn't call Monday, cause we were at the hospital with blood sugar related problems) and asking about if I can proceed with getting his van, truck, billfold and things back or after the lawsuit. Haven't gotten a call back yet. I know that he's pretty busy, but I'm getting pretty "antsy". Can only hope that maybe he's been their lawyer and getting things worked out.

I am SO looking for the day that I can tell my Dad, with confidence, that it is OVER! At first, I just wanted them to back off and it didn't take long to realize that they were like a hungry dog with a piece of meat and will no doubt hang on til the end! So, I'm looking for the end, so my Dad can be fully assured that they are gone and we can get on with taking care of him and get on with, what we can, our lives (which, of course will be with my Dad)! It HAS been a very long ordeal, but we're STILL fighting!

333, Trust me, if and when (and We're confident that we will) we get something to charge them with, we will. ;) We've got several things we are looking at, in regards to them. Also, my Dad wants them in jail because of all the undue stress that they have caused him and SO do I.

                                           Later on, Bill ;)

   ;) That's ALWAYS a possibility Chris. Always a possibility. ;)

BTW, I went to see my Dad this morning and he is looking really well. He's been eating well, relaxing more, enjoying watching some TV and visiting with us when we are there. ;) That's My Dad ;)

Hey, the way things are going, by the time we go to court, if we do go, they are really going to be out on a limb because he's more like his old self more and more as time goes on. ;) ;)

that last statement kinda worries me bill....I had a random thought that im hoping to you know who that im wrong on....Aren't there some drugs that if taken long enough could start to emulate the symptoms of Alzheimer's? Just trying to come up with different ideas as to what has really all occurred...from the way they have acted thus far...them drugging your father to get what they want isn't too far out of the realm of possibility...

Have you inquired with your lawyer about getting an injunction or restraining order or whatever in order to keep ex-bro away from dad's affairs?

Not so random. All of the Valium family of drugs can cause memory problems and cionfusion in the elderly. Their bodies do not eliminate them as quickly.  Very easy drugs to get.

Chris, we've been wondering the same thing ourselves. For example, he was on 2 different meds for diabetes and, if he didn't actually need the diabetic drugs, it could have put him in a different state of mind and there's no telling what else (as far as drugs go) that might have been given to him. Just be totally glad when it is finally over.

I asked, in the beginning, about a restraining order or something to keep them away and he didn't think it was necessary at that time. I've been trying to reach him since Tuesday and either my timing is off or he's been incredibly busy or something. ???  I do know that he has a pretty good load of clients and all, but I need to touch base with him and see where we stand as well as ask a few questions. I'll be in touch.   Bill :)
