CB550 1974 gear cover
« on: December 06, 2007, 11:20:08 AM »
Hey guys, I've got a 74 550 and when I bought it, it was missing the gear cover (the one the shift lever sticks out of).  I bought on on ebay for a 78 550 but it dosn't fit.  Did they change from year to year?  I'll post pictures if people would like to see the one I have now, in all it's non fitting glory.  Anyone got one that will fit?

Thanks,

-Robb

Better post a picture.  All the 550's were the same AFAIK.

dang.

After the pliers didn't work, I would have done a bit of sideways tapping with a small hammer and a dull chisel. Just worked it around some to break the grip of age...
