Here's a classic example of how the world is currently out of kilter when it comes to the "Values" of old vs new. I've been watching two eBay auctions, one for a mint one owner Honda CBR1100XX "Super Blackbird", Honda's contender for world's fastest bike before the Hayabusa (narrowly) took the crown. It went for $3050, AUD. (about $2K US)

The second auction is for a CB750F1 in rough, but restorable condition, with pretty good bones. It needs paint, chrome, tyres, an original exhaust etc, to bring it anywhere near the same cosmetic condition as the Blackbird, but with 4 hours to go, it's already been bid up to what the Blackbird sold for. I know which bike I'd prefer, and it's not the fugly F1! ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
