I was actually referring to the film genre rather than the lead actor. But, I'm pretty sure none of the actors provided their own wardrobe for the film. So, such assignment of guilt is misplaced, IMHO.
And, it turns out that an OZ boot company made all the boots for the film. However, it also turns out I was wrong about Max's boots, which you can see here:

A useless bit of trivia, is that all the jackets, with the exception of Goose, were made of vinyl instead of leather, due to the film's AU$400,000 budget.
