If you hang it up on one end, then let it drain for 4-5 days, it can straighten itself out pretty well. It will run rich in the bike for a little while, so be prepared with new sparkplugs.

Or, do like Heffay says...  ::)
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

I've swabbed the excess off of a UNI filter element with a wad of paper towels...

BTW, check the twin disc bolt thread I started earlier today...(page 2 of sohc bikes)

As mentioned you can certainly over oil them and they will not flow properly in the over oiled state.  One thing you can try is to hook up your shop vac to them to help pull (or perhaps push if you can convert yours into a blower) the excess oil.  I find that it works pretty well at getting the oil evenly distributed and the excess removed.

That red stuff is like crack eh ? ;D
I cant tell you how many times I over-oiled filters for past bikes/cars/etc...

The best thing to do is let the filter sit around for awhile (dont move it).
This way whatever xcess oil will drain off. Alittle soft padding with a towel will also
do the trick. Make sure you get as much off as you can, becasue your motor WILL NOT like the extra red stuff being sucked thru the carbs (trust me on this one)..
