I was spraying primer/filler on my F2 tank at 8.30 pm tonight, it's still around 70 deg F here at 9pm. Cheers, Terry.
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I heard about the 10 - 12 inches in southern WI around Milwaukee and Madison on the 21st.  I feel for you guys down there.  Here in Oshkosh the closest it got was about 20 miles south of me in Fondy.  We only had a few flakes and nothing to shovel.  So with the roads still clear I can get out.  But with the cold I use the Wing for the protection.  You know the last few years we did not have hardly any snow and I was able to ride the Wing every month for 3 years.  As long as there is no snow or ice I am good to go.  As long as the temp is above 10 degrees.  I wear a snowmobile helmet and long johns head out.  Not for any 100 mile rides, but around town.  Just enough to get a good ride and have people give me the thumbs up.  My wife says I am nuts, but it is a good kid of nuts.

As much as I miss my homeland of Wisconsin, there are a few benefits to being in Austin, TX.  Never thought I would say positive things about Texass.  'Course, some say Austin bears little resemblance to Texas, so....

Riding season is officially open again...at least in central WI.  Got out for a 70 mile ride Saturday.  That snowstorm did not hit us at all.  So I took a ride in memory of all the snow-bound friends of mine in southern WI.  I was thinking about you guys!!!

I'm so bored with riding my bike in the warm Aussie sun that I drove my new(ish) car the 200 miles to my folks place yesterday, good thing too, we had a (totally unexpected) torrential downpour that lasted for around 20 miles, it was so bad that many cars had pulled over to the side of the highway to wait it out.

I continued on, skipping from one pool of water to another at 70 MPH, making a mental note to put some better tires on the car I just bought, (damn Goodyears, they're rubbish! ;D) and being a typical Aussie Sunday afternoon there were heaps of bikes out, and I watched some of these poor buggers who'd been caught out in jeans and light jackets, who now looked like drowned rats! Oh well, we've been in drought for 7 years, so we need the rain! Cheers, Terry. ;D
