Source for K0 and K1 Rubber Parts?
« on: April 13, 2008, 06:51:20 AM »
I need to find the rubber "seat" that goes between the tail light and rear fender on a K0 / K1. The PN# is 84702-300-010 and the last list price was $8.45. I might have found one but the seller wants $75.00 which I think is pretty absurd. I mean we are talking almost a 900% increase. Is this typical?

I have restored many bikes, mostly European stuff but am finding some of these prices pretty silly. Who are the best suppliers out there?

TIA, Phil

You can get that part from Yamiya for $28.  Still spendy but not as bad as $75.  I bought one and it looks good.

That is the place in Japan, right? Do you have an idea about shipping to the East Coast (just a ball park).

Thanks, Phil

My Dealer was the first place I tried and my parts guy said no go, so maybe they are all gone now. It didn't even come up as being back ordered. They are an excellent Dealer and have been in business for over 40 years. I go to Bettencourt's Honda in West Bridgewater, MA.

Thanks, Phil

Try servicehonda.com or Yamiya in Nagoya, Japan ship very fast - order today and usually 3 days later they are on your doorstep...if not quicker!

Yup, my dealer also said no longer in stock.  I did not check Western Hills since I was already ordering something from Yamiya.  Also paid the $28 and it is a very nice part as is all the stuff I have ordered from Yamiya.  You will get it faster than if you were ordering from your dealer.  Yamiya is unbelievably fast!!!

Service Honda didn't have it anymore.  Agree with Andy & John about Yamiya.  Excellent delivery.

TC10,

Hi, yes I did. I ordered one from Yamiya. It is a repop, but at least the rubber will be fresh.

Thanks, Phil
