Just a thought bill...if you decide to throw a disc brake front end on that 450..why not see about using that drum brake front end on one of your SL350s?

That IS a possibility. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with THAT 450, as it stands right now. I'd like to be able to build a shop big enough that I could spread some stuff out a bit and do some serious building on something. As it is now, I'm liable to lose something or maybe drop something and damage it. I'm hoping, for now at least, to be able to arrange things so that I won't have any bikes in my 1- car garage except what I'm working on at the time. That would be a start. ;) Take care Chris. ;)

                                Later on, Bill :) ;)

BTW 6pk, I've got some feelers out to see what I can come up with on that particular 450. ;)

Then there's a 62' CL72 (250) Scrambler I picked up on in hopes of restoring some day and nothing done so far.

That one is kinda unique, isn't it? Shame there is only one done that way. That side cover was missing, when I got the bike and I found that lone painted side cover on ebay. Makes me wonder what happened to the other one.

Bill, I think you may have to build yourself a bigger garage. ;)

Yeah, you're right about that! ;D Kinda funny, we moved here in March of 85' and my wife says, "There's plenty of room to put you a nice size shop building back there!" ::) 22 years and waiting! :( Somehow, I get the impression that I'm going to have to try to figure a way to get something done in that area. ;) Biggest thing I've got right now, is a small one car garage and a 12 x 14 building. I've got most under tarps that are thrown over swingset frames and such (not the best setup). I've still got a few more to come.

Thanks to Mark, I'm now over on the original thread I had made on My Collection Of Projects! And so I will move the others over here and try to keep up with this until I complete the posting of my projects uh, I mean get caught up with posting photos of my collection as it stands right now. ::)

         the 69' Z50A "Project"

         my 67' CL77 "Roller" " Project"

my Suzuki TS400 "Project"   Later model motor and early frame don't mix because of exhaust port location and frame design.

         my Yamaha DT175 (79' & 80') "Projects"

Soon as I can get my printer and pc to cooperate, I'll post the rest of the photos I have and try to get the rest taken care of.

                                 Taken care, Bill :) ;)

Thanks michel,  I just had a bad case of That addiction. I kept coming onto the bikes and couldn't seem to stop picking up on them. ::) I was in a little better shape financially then and now, things have tightened up and I'm working on a way to get some of the better ones up and running, so I might be able to build a little cash flow to use on the bikes that require some parts. I hope to be able to put the Honda SOHC Fours that I have (CB350F, CB400F, CB500K, CB550K &  the CB750A) in good shape to keep. I hope to put these Honda Twins (CB77, SL350K0, Sl350K2, CB450K7 & CL450K6) in good shape to keep. I hope to build the Jawa 250 to be like the one my Dad built back in the early 60's and keep it. I've also got my original bike that my Dad built up for me when I was about 11 or 12yrs old and it is a Jawa 50cc that I want to rebuild and keep. Then there's my 80 CB750K that needs a little work, including a paint job.

Take care and have a good weekend, Bill :) ;)

Bill,

This is the one I would give my preference to. All the others are just metal and plastic.  ;)

I hear ya Jim,  that little sucker shouldn't need too many parts. Maybe I oughta start a "Project Thread" on it. I know that I've got to find some rings and an ignition coil for it. The original gas tank for it (that my Dad put on it) was a mid 50's BSA Bantam item. It  disappeared some time ago, but I picked up on (what was called) a "Peanut Tank" (back in the 60's or so). It's new and has never had the brackets welded on it. :o It'll give the bike a good look. It also had 16" chrome bicycle fenders on it (which are gone too and I've got to find some of those). By the way, I didn't tell much about it. It was originally a 57' ( I think) Jawa Scooterette (looked like a moped and my Dad took it apart, built a frame like a small motorcycle and put it back together). Only thing is, it didn't have pedals like a moped, it has a 3 sp trans and a forward type kickstarter (like a CB77 Super Hawk). I've only got 1 picture that I remember, but not sure where it is.

You need to find yourself a hobby Bill..  ;D ;D (sarcasm)

I could spend hours at your place playing with those bikes. On the farm here, we've got a collection like that only they're antique tractors. Some restored, some not. my dad just keeps adding to the collection. great fun  :)

Sorry, just thought I'd ask. ;D It's hard enough just trying to keep all these "Project Bikes" out of the weather, with out even thinking about what I'd do if they were big as cars. ::) Now, I'd swap everything I've got, for a couple of old Mopars like a 69' road runner coupe and a 66' Charger (the Charger having a 383/4sp/posi) ;D ::) 2 cars I had at one time and wish I STILL had. :( Ah, hindsight vs foresight. ::)

Still haven't found any pictures of my little Jawa 50 that my Dad reconstructed and soon as I do, I'll post them. And until then (and until I can get some pictures of what it looks like now) here's a photo of a stock one (and I still have the original fenders, but they weren't on it when my Dad got through with it years ago. Notice that, even thought it originally looked like moped, it doesn't have pedals and it does have a forward type kicker like a Super Hawk. ;D
