Yoshimura Cam............Apology
« on: May 04, 2008, 05:55:26 AM »
Well I have to say to the people who were interested in the cam I had for sale, that I am sorry........I have now been told by the buyer that it is a "re-grind".....I was going by what the P.O. had written in his manual,he had a list of installed parts. Some were obvious, the names were right on them(Lockhart,Dyna,Lester)....I did specify in the post here that I did not know for sure if it was a Yosh cam or pistons,......didn't Hope have a post going about "If you don't know it for fact"..............any way I have always felt that if I f@@k-up I should admit it..............so I f@@ked up ..........sorry

At least you can admit it. Too little of that in this world now-a-days.

Everyone is looking to find good performance parts for our 30yr old bikes and it’s getting more difficult every day. When these parts where listed there where so many respondents those decisions had to be made in a hasty manner.

I purchased the cam and pistons and upon receiving them was unsure if the cam was a Yoshimura. After contacting Tom I was immediately offered the opportunity to return the parts for a full refund no questions asked. I chose to post here for clarification on the cam because I wasn’t sure either and didn’t want to renege on a deal because of my ignorance. I accept responsibility for not asking for more information and pictures before the transaction was completed and appreciate his willingness to work with me. It’s been a valuable lesson. Sorry Tom.

I want everyone to know that the cam identification inquiry was not intended to air any dirty laundry or as a vehicle to influence an outcome. Tom has been a honorable person to do business with from the very beginning and continues to be.

No apology required.

Thank You
Jimmy

So all that aside, it could still be a nice runnable cam, hope they checked the valve clearance before disassembly..
