Yet another wiring harness question--for a K6
« on: May 08, 2008, 06:38:16 PM »
I need to replace the harness on my K6.  Partsnmore sells a K0-K5 harness for ~$75, but servicehonda.com (thanks to Terry Quail for directing me to this site) sells a K6 harness for ~$118.  From what I've read, the wiring pattern didn't change all that much from 75 to 76.  So my question is, should I spend the extra money on the K6 harness from servicehonda.com or will the partsnmore harness work just as well?

Partsnmore doesn't have the K6?  Unless you're willing and able to adapt the K5 to the K6, I'd shop until I found a good price for the right one, or pay the price.

Let me know if you have found a new harness for that K6.  I've been looking a long time and didn't find any.  They are not available from service honda.

So far, the only harness I've found is through Carpy for a bit more than I want to spend.

Flyin, you're right.  servicehonda is out of stock.

That being said, does anyone have any experience and/or tips they can give for adapting a K5 harness to a K6 bike?
