Trev Deeley ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Whoa, Sam. A quick fanfare for the fact that it was a Canadian fellow (who is better known as 'Mr.Harley Davidson') who had the wit to see that maybe the Japanese had something going. Fanfare over.

It was  ;D  Sammy gave us this one to try:

Now try this one, around the time Honda started to Export bikes around the world they created two models with the same code prefix (as in CB750). The two bikes had diferent capacities and engine configureations and looked nothing like one another. There was about 7 years between them.

Name the model number.

Going to be off line soon untill next week, thought I should put you out of your missery. ::) ::) ::)

I did a google search so that you could see the answer for your selves and found that there was more than one :-[ :-[ :-[

The C90 was a twin made in 58 and was the fore runner to the C92/CA92.
The C90 was a step through single made in 66.

I also found that they made a C70, another twin made in 57 and a fore runner to the C72/CA72 Dreams.
They also made a C70 step through in 69 (my favourite number) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bye guys, Sam. ;)

In Sams absence, here is an easy one.

Why was the CB450 called the 'Black Bomber'?

Well one reason is that it came in so many colors.  You could get it in black, or black.  But the most popular color was black.
Go metric, every inch of the way!

No one? OK:

(From Classic motorcycle Mechanics magazine) .....the CB450 was rightly regarded as a landmark machine and a major threat in the mid-1960s. Back then, it wasn't just the largest-capacity bike yet from Japan, it was the first that dared to challenge the British industry's dominance of the big-bike market. "Meet the big black bomber — the biggest, beefiest touring twin from Japan," ran Honda UK's magazine ads, earning the bike the nickname Black Bomber.

Actually it didn't only come in just black, although the 'other' colours are quite rare:

Alrighty then, an 'easy' one. Not strictly Honda trivia, but to follow on from the above quote:

Actually CMM is incorrect. There was a larger capacity Japanese motorcycle made before the CB450. What was it, and what was the name of the manufacturer that first produced it?
