It's actually exhaust wrap coating. On the can it says it can be used as paint and sprayed directly onto metal, so I did.

It's made by Thermotec and I found the best price here: http://www.xtremediesel.com/

What has sporkfly been up to? Why is he talking in the third person?

Honestly, I couldn't tell you the answer to the second question, but I can answer the first!

Remember my side 'covers'? Well, They've been completed, but mounting will be the tricky part.

And my tank, yeah, that's done too. The cap cover latch/lock needed some attention as the PO had sanded the plastic ring around it down when stripping the paint. I threw some masking tape on it, covered the tip in bondo and gave it a nice curve (like a good woman) again.

And the exhaust baffles? Yeah. Done. I think I'd do Martino proud with all the welding I've been up to lately.

And I wrapped the pipes.

But only after I removed the stock baffles with a big freakin' chisel and patched up all the rust holes with band saw blade (for the patches) and clothes hangers (for filler rod). (Yes I am in my underwear, I took these pictures before getting ready for work)

After that I got carried away with cutting things up and rethinking them. You know that big brick of a tail light? GONE!

I also got a 650 cam

Boy I've been having fun ;D

It's weird. If I quote your post and just copy the img links into my address bar, I can see the pics (nice lookin job, by the way). One I have seen them in a different window, they show up in your post. Odd.

Switched to imageshack. Google's thing has intermittently given me troubles, but hopefully they're showing up now. I'm liking how it's looking so far, but I can't say the same for my old man. I think he feels like I ruined the chrome, but it was already ruined with rust, peeling and scratches. Ah well, it's my bike anyhow.

Very cool.  I like where you are going stylistically here. With so many of the same bikes here, it's tough to find something so unique.
