I've had it about a year...found in my friends garage buried under junk after sitting unused for 25 years. Its a K1 w/ a K0 motor, Morris Mags (19" front, 16" rear), black ceramic-coated Yosh race pipe (hand-bent by Pops himself), Habermann 6 gallon fiberglass tank, custom tail, Dick's Cycle West Racer-1 half-fairing, Hurst Airheart rear caliper 7 master, Accel coils and ignition, MC Enteprises rearsets, Napolean mirrors, Monroe(!) shocks, Russell SS Twilight Black brake lines, Yamiya clear signal lenses, Dunlop GT501 skins, aluminum ceramic-coated engine covers, clubman bars, 1982 V45 Magna front master cylinder, swiss-cheezed modified airbox w/ K&N filter, Sprocket Specialists sprockets, Hayden oil cooler and a few other mods. Last weeks motor (RIP) was a full-blown Yosh big block w/ lotsa headwork, around 90 hp w/ a top-end 140 mph. Now it'll only do around 129....
I ran it last year in orange, then it was black, then I found this silver Haberman tank and I like the black/silver combo. Interestingly, Japan has a new custom CB750 modern cafe thats got the same sorta paint scheme, total coincidence.
It runs AND handles as good as it looks, sounds even better, totally-painful when ridden in traffic, totally PERFECT when ridden FAST, intentionaly form-follows-function, kinda rough-looking in its details (I'm not afraid to use a hacksaw or a rattle can), it sure ain't no candy-ass chrome/polished/fancy-paint showbike, its JUST DEFINATELY MEAN!
