Newbie Question: Are '70 and '76 CB750K Engine Parts Interchangeable?

I just purchased a 1970 CB750K Frame and Engine case (missing upper engine components - cylinders, cylinder head, valve cover, etc.).  Will other years fit, such as 1976 engine components -- to make a franken-engine?

What incompatibility issues do I need to worry about in building up the rest of my new 1970 project bike?

Almost all of the parts are interchangeable. Very few are not.
