Anybody know them(Ken/Sue)? I ordered a chain/sprocket combo from them 2 weeks ago tomorrow. My card was billed but I haven't seen the parts. I tried calling last Wednesday(I think) and was told by the person who answered that Sue had a medical emergency and that is all he knew. Tried calling Friday, yesterday, today with no answer. I don't have a tracking #, I have ordered parts from them before with excellent delivery and before/after sale support. I'm sure they didn't go out of business or are trying to keep my dough, I just want to know if there was a problem getting the parts shipped or if they were lost.

If someone has contact information for them could you tell them to contact me through here or through their order records?

I believe Cleveland just went up there about a month ago. I wish I could go up and see all the eye candy they have.  :'(

I've been trying to call them also, as I've been charged for a gasket set, almost 2 weeks ago and still have not seen it.

I suppose patience is the best bet here.

I've been trying to contact them, too. I finally got an e-mail back from Sue yesterday saying that she had been out of the office due to emergency surgery. She said she'd be back i the office today (9/24). I'm guessing that she's the only one that answers e-mails or the phone.

Good, I might get a email response back too.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Hope all is well with Ken & Sue...

I've been trying to contact CycleXchange for a couple weeks now. I've sent multiple emails and tried to call multiple times. There's no answer on the phone, not even a machine. I sent them a big box of parts to have them work on at the first of September, but I haven't heard anything since. The tracking number for the box says the parts were received. Hope to hear from them soon...

I met Ken for the first time a few weeks ago (Sep 19th or so) while up "playing" in Wisconsin (Northwoods).  He sold me on a great tire for my K6 (tube, tire, rim tape, mounted and balanced for $80 - and I love the tire)  What a place he's got!  I took pics of some of his engines and bikes.  Holy cow.

Ken is a unique guy.  His passion for his work is immediately obvious.  He has some amazing projects and some amazing talent.

If he's behind on orders or getting back to you, cut him a little slack right now...  wish I could say more about that.

In the short time I spent with him, he's earned my respect and business.

If you're reading this Ken, I'll be scratching on your door in the spring for more stuff when I get up to the Northwoods with my brothers for more riding.

i've been patiently waiting for one oil rail for their 850 kits. i talked to him and he said his wife was on the operating table or something along those lines, and to call back the next day. still haven't got a hold of him, but i'm pretty sure it's not due to flakiness.

What is their email? I have some questions before I order, and haven't been able to get through on the phone.

I did receive a note in the mail with a refund due to the parts not shipping. He also wrote that they would be open this week, but still no answer. Godspeed Ken/Sue if you're reading this, we'll be patient.

Thanks

Last I heard, there is a health issue in the family.  Ken is ok health-wise, but is likely distracted.  When I last saw him (late Sep), he was working on getting through this (getting more help in the store).  I for one, will be back to his place for "cool stuff".

not really, but he did mention that she had been in a little. he said it was really hard for him to run the place without having her around to answer the phone and mail orders, etc. i have a lot of sympathy for that situation and hope that people are patient with their orders. i really don't take ken as a rip-off kind of guy at all.

First thing I'd like to say is that Ken and Sue work GREAT together!  The problem is that without the other one, nothing can operate properly.  Sue takes care of all the books, ebay, most of the sales, etc. and Ken takes care of the wrenching, designing, etc.  So if one of them are out, business is completely halted.

If you ordered something from them and it's been longer then it should, I can talk to Sue for you.  I just got off the phone with Ken and things seem to be back up and running.  For privacy's sake, I'll leave it at that.  Anyone worried about not getting their order, I'd happily put my reputation on the line for these two.  They are the real deal!  Not only does Ken love these bikes the way that most of us do, he contributes to the Honda world more then most of us combined!  Really, I mean that.

So send me a PM or email if you want/need me to talk to them.  I'll be talking with Ken again next week, but I can call him sooner if need be.

BTW, I am going to start another thread on some of his new stuff.  This guy has some really cool ideas and puts them into practice.

Cleavland, thanks for the update. I have done business with Ken for a couple of years, and have always had the best of experiences. I have always highly recommended Cyclex to every CB nut I've known. I'm glad to hear things are normalizing over there. I was just concerned because I hadn't been able to get through by phone or e-mail for nearly two months. Thanks again for keeping us up on how Ken and Sue are doing.

Moderators;
Can this thread be closed? As the originating author I feel it has run it's course and to offer Ken and Sue their privacy I propose it be closed/deleted. I did not intend to have aired any personal details about them in the forum, merely looking for originally contact info to understand the delay in receiving an order. I am and have always been a very satisfied customer of theirs and only wish them the best.

Thank you.

I believe you can delete the thread yourself as the originator but I could be wrong.

I don't see a huge problem with leaving it tho. As an outsider I read it as a guy's business took a bit of a left turn but numerous folks had nothing but good things to say about them and then it was confirmed that they were back and living up to their reputations. In fact, there was even a brief explaination of the problem and one that was certainly understandable.

There may be others still waiting on shipments as tey play catch up so having this thread around may help others who are searching for info...

Just my 2 cents tho as an outsider as I have never done business with them (although admittedly I may now based on hearing about their reputation!)
