The motor is back together, at last. Finished yesterday morning and had to load everything up to bring down here to Iowa. So, in addition to all of the tools and crap from my house in St Paul, I had to carry up from the basement 1) complete 550 motor, 1) 750 K0 motor split, 1) 650 head and carbs 2) sets of forks and numerous other bits...Unloaded the motor into the shop down here and it looks really nice sitting next to the frame. Will look much better when it's in the frame.
So, next on the list is to finish the fork re-build, re-jet the 550 carbs (I'm gonna hold the 650 carbs in reserve but, as they need to be cleaned, will try my shiny, happy 550 carbs), put Progressive shocks together and address the wheels. Undecided on re-spoking the wheels but I think I'm leaning in that direction. Nice and shiny will be good (and straight is a bonus).
As far as brakes I have the 750 rotor and caliper, but I want to settle on a new master. Still waiting on my bud in AZ for the fuel tank paint.
I need some bars. And a chain. And a seat.
But aside from that, it's nearly done, right? Right...
