accel plug wires
« on: November 02, 2008, 01:34:02 PM »
OK so its been almost a year since i bought the Dyna ignition kit, but I finally managed space and time in putting it all together now, but i ran into a problem w/ the park plug wire caps.

the original caps are straight for the outside cylinders and  45 degree caps for the inners. now i have 8 90 degree ones, which should still work on the inners, but not on the outers.  but looking @ the caps unless i use the ones which screw onto the wire, how do i make the connector which is on the end of the wire go into the straight cap and still be able to push the top of the plug into it? I ask this b/c the 90's work fine, you push the wire straight in and the connector end is sitting in the cap ready for a plug to be pushed up in, but w/ the straight connectors, when you push the wire in, the metal connector on the wire is sitting vertically, and not in a position for a plug to be pushed into it... ???

Looks like to me taht the 90° fitting is for the coils and not the spark plug.  My accel wires came with 90° for the coils and 4 180° for the plugs.  Just a thought
