Ya I hate the forks .. replacing them is top priority .. I'm not sure about the pipes because it doesn't currently run..  But they look crazy loud, they're all the same length and its 4 into 4 with just crappy turn downs riveted on. Kind of a hack job.

Finished putting the brake together .. Looked nice , thought I'd share .. I know , I know .. I need to clean the frame up some ..

What happened with your old fork ears?
I'm starting on Hondaman Special #3, it may turn out to be a cafe' job. Needs ears....

Those old headlight ears were too beat up to be of any use on a build.. Have seen them recently on ebay though.

got a bunch of work done today...

You'll have to excuse the points cover .. I still haven't replaced it.

Did you ever find a set of stock forks for the second bike?  I've got a couple sets of stock 750 tubes if they're interchangeable. Let me know.

Hey,

Beautiful here,  I'm in the middle of tearing my top end off and doing a poor mans rebuild.  What did you end up doing to clean up the pistons?  They look ten times better, but they also look a little pitted up on top.

Honda's own looked pitted when new!
Aftermarket pistons have prettier tops.

Ok , I'm back .. it's been crazy around here but I am getting some work done on the bike .. I've got most of the wiring started and it's a mess. The person that owned it before me took all the covering off the wiring harness so he could do a simplified harness so routing the wires has been a chore, in addition to that I've never actually worked on a CB750 before this one and I have no point of reference, in fact I've never seen one together in real life. sad sad times.

So here goes.. This is what's killing me. Where does this fuseable circuit tie into everything? and does the starter button just ground out that wire? If so where does the power come into the starter solenoid any pictures of the that i circled in green would be very helpful.

also what's the story with the red/white wire to right of the diagram? I really need some pictures.. anyone have a K2 they can snap some shots of and email me ? minidryvr@gmail.com

Thanks guys! ! I'll get some pics of the bike up soon.

The wiring: there is a little wiring assembly that is a large RED wire between the battery (+) post and the starter solenoid, and out of that circuit also comes a smaller RED wire, from the solenoid side (Honda crimped the two wires together in the ring terminal at the solenoid). This is the RED wire that goes to the fuse, which then goes to the keyswitch. I have the K2: the wiring is the same as K0/K1 except for the turn signal beeper. The starter solenoid, as you've surmised, grounds on its "low" side at the handlebar button to activate it. That's the YELLOW-RED wire. The RED-WHITE wire is the incoming charge from the rectifier (which is fed by the alternator). That's almost the whole wiring!

You can get that nice black jacketing from Del at www.vintageconnections.com: he's a great guy. He sells kits to do these bikes, with jacketing, connectors, the whole 9 yards - or individual pieces. The jacketing he sells is superior to Honda's old stuff, as it does not get brittle over time, and is much more flexible. I'm using it on all the rebuilds I'm doing.

Hondaman nailed the wiring, if that doesn't get you going, I can take a pic of mine this evening.  (Took me a while, but I have it straightened out now)

* an old trick that you can use on the frame - get some Penetrol (paint conditioner you can get at Home Depot etc) and wipe it on the frame.
Makes it look brand new again.

Looking great.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try that on one of my rebuilds. It has good paint, just aged. It would save my having to strip and repaint...  8)

That worked great and its turning over but I'm confused about what the RED-WHITE wire connects to.. .. and a picture would be awesome if you could .. thanks again!
