Very cool. From what I've read, the development costs of that bike is what broke Laverda.

Very cool. From what I've read, the development costs of that bike is what broke Laverda.

Only because they tried to implement it in a street bike. Sure it was an early "mechanical" form of FI and a DOHC V6 would be hot stuff on the street especially back then.

But this motor was designed for race use only. CR and stroke were insane as well as cam profiles and ignition timing. Street use was a LONG way off. They spent almost everything they had just to get it on a track. By then, there was no going back financially.

Ran good on the track though, as long as you weren't in a twisty part lol. Talked to a guy who rode one and said that you ground pegs and body long before the chassis was at it's limit.

I'd still kill to have one though. Well....... yea I'd kill. :o

It' pretty much a priceless motorcycle. They only made three of them I think, I read about it somewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Coool little dog just sits and watches what's going on then gets up and walks off. Did you see that?

I find my self torn between choosing my favorite of these two Italian forms.

(Maybe if Ms. Loren would kindly come to my home and help me decide I'd be eternally grateful.)

Well, if I'm going to show risque pix of Ms. Loren I should be fair and post something of Ms. Laverda- sans orange clothes. (ok, no macabre jokes about tearing out her heart; I just did that.)
