Topic: Stock luggage rack?--post pics please

Anyone have any pictures of a 1978 750K with the stock\original rear luggage rack? Im contemplating getting one but want to see how it would look first.  Also, how much weight could they hold?

There is no stock luggage rack...all of them were either Hondaline in the later years, or aftermarket. All of the single-cam bikes came with just a grabrail, or grab handle....

I have a Bates luggage rack on my K0. I bought it around '75 and the chrome is still near perfect, considering. It has square profile bits rather than the usual round. It will hold more weight than you are likely to ever put back there.

That's correct, no "stock" rack. Check eBay. I think Andy750 uses a large one. Search.

I had a large one but no good pictures. They are all loaded and bad angles.

Thank You all for the information, this is the one I was looking at on ebay. May pass on it though in favor of something newer.

Interesting. Is that a simulated "woody" insert look on the cross members? Don't recall seeing that before.

I just picked this rack up from another 78 750 rider (Mossy21). It looks period correct and somewhat "Stock" looking.

It came from a company called AMCO out of West Hollywood Califoria.

Here's the luggage rack on my K6.  It has black rubber on the slats...  I have sat on it before and I'm 190 lbs.

Here's the one that came on my bike.  Longer and wider (heavier too!) than modern racks I've seen.  It would probably look ridiculous on any other type of bike!  I like it though and plan to use it so it's staying on.
