Header Wrap... or not to wrap??

Does anyone out there have Exhaust wrap on their pipes?? With photos?? What is your thaughts and do i need the silicone spray first or is it a waste of time.?? Does it rust your pipes. ;)

try the search function here at the site, it is up on the right side of the page there are lots of threads on the pros and cons of header wrap.

Mine were pretty dinged up so I wrapped them. No idea if it'll rust out faster. Not sure I care as these are cheap and used.

Do search but the conversations tend to center on trip length and the tendency of short cycles of heat to cause condensation which the wrap holds in and then rusts.
