I have been told by a few that you can buy just the actual ignition part...not the whole tumbler assembly...for the ignition switch of the 1978 CB750K8...I have heard that they can be found on Ebay...

I have not been able to locate one...it may be that I am not searching for the right item...I am looking for the part that the harness plugs into...the very bottom of the assembly.

If someone knows where I can get these I would be greatful...I need to replace the one I got from Kghost...

What do you think is burning them up?

Mine is orig and 30,000 + miles, Lived under a car port 15 years.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

I couldnt find the problem so I took it to the local electric guy...he is a wizard...and he raced CB's when he was young!

He said it was a short, most likely....I should get it back before the weekend...I hope.

I'll refer you to my post from over the weekend...http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php?topic=4673.0 If this doesn't work, look under "exploded view of key switch". Dennis Kirk sells the repair kit. Which I assume has the part you need.

Not sure of your location but I have bought this exact same part from this store. Buying from Canada does have it's advantages at times depending on dollar etc. Granted it's easier for me as I can just take the drive down and grab whatever I need but I have had them ship to me once or twice and they were great. They also have a ton of used parts...

As I was tackling an almost lost cause of a 78k that was sitting for 13 years uncovered in my buddy's driveway I have needed to source a ton of parts as cheaply as possible. Got her back to life though I just need new rubber and a few small odds and ends and she'll be ready to plate and ride this spring...getting too cold up here to do too much more to her and we only have a month or so of riding time left.
