77/78 750 Carb Info
« on: March 04, 2009, 07:56:40 AM »
Maybe its out there, but here is what I saw yesterday

41A  has ANODIZED alum slides

41B has  bright plated BRASS slides

41A slide was marked 71B needle was marked F2051E

41B slide was marked 83B needle was marked F2051F

Both sets had Approx 2.5mm cutaway on slides,
and 5 needle clip positions

Both had gold colored brace across carbs.

Every 78 I have checked had silver brace.

My 78 has the gold brace too. My slides are also anodized not brass plated.

Eldar are yours marked A or B ? what build date?

1080s 78 has silver brace and a 77 build date.

All the 77s I saw had gold brace, 78s were silver

I have the 78 model year. Made in 12/77 but probably sold in 78. it may be possible that honda used different suppliers at different times and that could account for the oddities.

AS for my a or b, not being at home, I can check but I am almost positive they are marked B.
