Got the same advice. Interested to know but I have the feeling you really shouldn't have to pinch off the tubes just to maybe make it work. When I talked with them I got the distinct impression the SyncPro was for smaller displacement machines. Just a vibe I got from the conversation.

They say it uses stainless steel rods for the medium to show the vacuum instead of a liquid.
I like that.

I had my child blip the throttle on my 650 just as I was attempting to sync the new carbs.
GONE.
Yes there were restrictors, but dropping from 9grand sucked that stuff out in a heartbeat.

I am just having that problem with my motion pro, and that is after synching my 88 hurricane 600 numerous times (at least 4 times) my fathers 500 magna, friends 600 and 750 shadow and it has JUST done this to me. never a problem before now, it has worked great!  sucks you guys have had the issues!
k8 project, a long way from done.....

I bought the tool WHALEMAN recommends last summer and it worked well and the price was right.
