So sad! :(  Pain like this strikes so many. So very many! :(
These folks put their lives on the line every single day and and this kind of commitment is so easily overlooked by us, until things like this happen. :(

I hold the deepest respect for our police and the crap that they are forced to endure to keep the public safe.  My prayers are out to the families of the fallen officers.

I know few cops personally and they drive drunk, provoke people to fight so they could beat them up and generally do what ever they want. So to me, unless proven otherwise, cop = as;hole. And the only problem I ever had with the law in 42 years where 2 speeding tickets and 1 seat belt ticket.

Are you Effing kidding me? 3 men have been killed by some @$$hole and you somehow get off thinking they deserve it? These 3 men have families and worked hard for this city. I hope that others don't feel the same as you.

Is it somehow worse than 13 people getting killed by a gunman in an immigration class? No persons life is more valuable than anyone elses. They are all equal in worth.

I would guess that last one is supposed to mean something but I think someone has too much free time?
It would appear that someone is trying to link me to this eldar person? OK I guess but unless I have had schizophrenia, I am ot him.

Apparently that is more important than people dying?

Moving forward, has there been anymore news on this? I remember the article said it had been 18 years since the last officer was killed on duty. Seems a pretty good streak for ANY city. I suppose things like these shootings underpins the stress level in this country.

I am not saying cops are bad. Sure some might be but many are good guys just doing a job. My point was to think about things in a family view. To a city, YOU might not be worth much, but how much are you worth to your kids, friends, or family? THAT is what I am saying.

It still points out the stress and fear in this country though and it will not surprise me if more of this happens soon. :'(

I also did not say I hate cops. Do not mistake me for cb650pk on that one.

While a sad event, this post had nothing to do with the tragic deaths of the 13 people in New York. And you interjecting them onto a post about the three Pittsburgh policeman shot down in the line of duty serves no purpose but to stir a big pot of $hit. If you feel that the 13 people in New York need representation, please feel free to start your own post.

A prayer to the thin blue like that keeps 330 million United States citizens on this side of total anarchy. People are people and laws are laws. You cannot change one without the other, no matter how you feel about it. It takes a special person to be in law enforcement.
It will take VERY special people to help those families cope. I doubt they will ever "Recover". Vaya con Dios. :'(

It only stirs if you feel one life is more important than another schmthaus. IMHO.

I can see how it might bother you since you are in Philly. It always hits closer to home when it IS your home.

Ofcourse some people's lives are more important than others! Some pedophile rapes and murders a kid and get the chair...you mourn him???

Gimme a break! ANYONE who dies in the line of duty (police, military, firemen whatever!) should be mourned by all! End of story!!!

I get the point about criminals such as a rapist. My bad, I did not specify clearly. I was talking about innocent people, those that have not done wrong. But some joe who pushes a family out of danger and dies should not be mourned as much as a cop?

I am not a troll I just look at it differently. I thought it was call an opinion and I thought everyone could have one.

Funny how you jump on me but yet leave cb650pk alone on his complete dislike of cops.  ???

No where did I say a cop was worth LESS or a serviceman worth LESS. But I bet if you had a child die, you would mourn a whole lot more than for some faceless person, wouldn't you?

Obviously I have been misunderstood here. Lets try it like this. SAy some person on the street gets gunned down. Who is to say they may not have invented a cure for diabetes? Point is, unless a person has really proven otherwise, every life has a value and you cannot place a specific value as you never know how a persons life is going to pan out until the very end. that is my point. In no way am I trying to degrade the cops who died. I mean from an article I saw, it appears they died over a nothing issue! Apparently a mother and son were arguing about a dog peeing in the house! So not only does it make their deaths tragic but worthless as well.

I hope this has cleared it up some. I am not saying the cops were worthless in anyway. Just that when anyone dies, we should mourn them as well as they could have done great things for mankind or maybe been a future cop.

Does this help any? best of intentions, really. No disrespect at all.

Actually, when I mentioned troll I was actually referring to Cb650pk my bad for not being specific it was not sirected at you. I was disagreeing with your train of thought though so I should have directed my arguements more specifically. And to your point about losing a kid that is exactly my rationale. It may not be a good karma move to think this way but I absolutely DO feel there are differing values for people's lives.

For example, I see 2 people drowning in the ocean and can only save one. One of them is a kid and the other an older adult....guess which one I am saving??

You are free to have a differing fiewpoint...and I am free from having to share it.

In that sort of situation, I would save the kid too. If I was part of that situation, I would rather the kid be saved than me.

You are the same troll you were under your previous ID.  What gets me the most is you left cause it got too hot from your inflamatory posts and you couldn't handle it anymore. Everyone was picking on poor Eldar. :'(
Now you come back with new ID but the same old inflamatory posts. That makes you the worst kind of TROLL there is, one that hides behind a new identity when the going gets tough. Deny it all you want, but the majority of your posts are spent defending Eldar....

I see I have a stalker obsessed with me even though the me he thinks I am is not me. Whatever you want to think. I have not brought up eldar for a few days now, I even dug it up. http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=48605.30
I even said I would not bring up this person anymore and I have been true to that word.

But hey, dig up what ever you think you can. If you find me and you find what I assume is him, you will find 2 different people. Unless I have a doppelganger that is!
