Honda New Guy

Hello,
I'm becoming a Vintage lover over the past few years. Restored a CL360 last year and in process of completing a 1970 CB750 K0. The tuning has me stumped a bit as getting it dialed in perfect is tricky. Maybe I have an intake leak.

Nice to meet you folks, seems to be a good knowledge base here.

Welcome!!!

If it runs... spray some carb cleaner around the intake boots while it's running. If it clears up and runs better while you are spraying....

Intake leak!!!

ROFL because that's the first thing I know I reach for when working on carbs.

I don't doubt you. But I have a full service machine/repair shop and even I don't have propane handy. Got any pics of your set-up? Sounds kinda neat.

I found that it can be hazardous to your health and to the bike when using starting fluid, especially if your ignition wires aren't in the best condition.....POOF!!!  :o

Well, I carefully re-sync and adjusted the air screws. Much better now. Still think it could be better. Might re-seat the carbs to the intake boots. The new intake boots I bought don't seem to position straight from the engine head to the carbs, and then to the air box. After putting some miles (100) on it last few days, the engine is smoothing out after not being used for 20-30 years. Really obsessed over this bike the last four months putting it together. Looking forward to getting the remainder parts and finishing it up.

Concerns:
-Very cold blooded, will not idle smooth until running temp
-slight fumble in acceleration 1-3k
-slight idling fumble, very slight
